We are pleased to highlight some of our Scouts’ achievements on behalf of the Los Angeles Scouting programs served by the Greater Los Angeles Area Council and the Western Los Angeles County Council.
Los Angeles Scouting serves one of the most diverse communities in America. Our Scouts and family members come from a wide range of ethnic, cultural and economic backgrounds. Thanks to the support of nearly 12,000 volunteers, we now serve more than 30,000 boys and girls throughout our community.
Scouting continues to make strategic changes to meet the demands of today’s families. In a historic decision, the Boy Scouts of America now welcomes girls to all ranks of the Scouting program. Today, all children have an equal opportunity to experience the BSA’s Scouting programs.
Our leadership gratefully acknowledges the collective efforts of our many dedicated volunteer leaders, board members, professional staff, chartered partners and generous financial partners who provide the foundation to teach the values found in the Scout Oath and Law. Thank you for helping to strengthen Scouting in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. We are Los Angeles Scouting.
